Friends Of Anam Cara Weekly Gathering

Friday evenings are a social affair at Anam Cara, where along with residents and residential guests we invite our local community to join us for dinner. It's a short trip for many in the Yarra Valley and a nice evening out if coming and going from Melbourne and suburbs.

We conduct a weekly fire ceremony with a focus on healing. Guests participate alongside us in this powerful practice to help bring about much needed healing in the world. This Vedic ritual draws together all the elements of nature, mantra (Om Tryambakam), yantra (sacred geometry) and intention, and weaves them into palpable force for transformation. This is something we highly recommend to practice regularly for one's own healing journey, and also when prayerfully requesting healing for others, for the environment, and for challenging issues playing out on the world stage.

A delicious shared (mostly) vegetarian dinner is followed by tea and dessert.

The evening program is flexible and may just be hanging out and enjoying the property and each other's company! Sometimes there may be a kirtan (devotional chanting) or other offering.
